We are considering a trip to San Antonio ... loved seeing the photos and getting ideas of where to eat.Jennershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044537551139633301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860062436324540164.post-9726078893299758662011-02-06T20:35:41.575-08:002011-02-06T20:35:41.575-08:00I haven't been to San Antonio in decades but t...I haven't been to San Antonio in decades but the one thing I remember well (besides the River Walk, which I recall thinking was very cool) was the Mexican food. REAL Mexican food -- spicy and so good, not at all like what we had at home. I'd go back for the food. ;)

Good luck to your airman! Biloxi has changed a great deal since Hurricane Katrina, but in some ways it improved. The beach was cleaned of commerce and is pretty, again, but many, many houses and businesses and much of the population disappeared. You should definitely visit. I recommend April -- after Spring Break and before it gets too fiercely hot. There are beautiful carvings made from trees damaged in the hurricane. I'm very impressed with how the residents have turned disaster into beauty, although last time I was there you could still see miles and miles and miles of empty foundations. Very sobering. I don't know if that's changed -- it's been a couple of years.

LOL on the pain of having to check out the bookstores.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.com
